Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Peter X. Phan
Dr. Phan's commitment to excellence shows in his education, dedication and experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with the gold medal for the highest academic standing in his class. That same year, he received the Gordon R. and Miriam E.M. Magee Award gold medal in Mathematics. Dr. Phan went on to complete dental school at Western, where he was honoured with the American Association of Orthodontists' Oro-Facial Growth Award for outstanding achievement in orthodontics. He then earned his Master's in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba before returning home to Kitchener-Waterloo. A published author in numerous academic journals, Dr. Phan is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists and the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. He is dedicated to bringing patients the latest advances in orthodontic care, and there's nothing he finds more rewarding than giving people the smile they've always wanted.
Dr. Waseem Kassas
Dr. Waseem Kassas is a Canadian-certified specialist in orthodontics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. After earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, Dr. Kassas completed his specialty training along with a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Buffalo University, USA.
Following graduation, Dr. Kassas was appointed as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University at Buffalo. Dr. Kassas became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) in 2016. He brings over 15 years of experience in treating complex orthodontic cases using both braces and clear aligners.
Outside the office, Dr. Kassas enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with his wife—who is also a dentist—and their three lovely children.
Dr. Alyssa Cho
Dr. Alyssa Cho was raised in Guelph, Ontario, and earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics at University of Guelph. Her decision to pursue a career in dentistry was deeply personal, inspired by her own journey with braces which showed her firsthand how a healthy confident smile can make all the difference.
Dr. Cho earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University, graduating with distinction and receiving several notable awards, including the Ontario Dental Association Award and the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award. She continued her postdoctoral education at the University of Pittsburgh, where she completed a Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Her research focused on cleft and craniofacial development where she received scholarships and the Masters of Excellence Award in recognition of her academic work and publications.
Dr. Cho is passionate about combining evidence-based orthodontic care with individualized treatment planning to achieve both functional and aesthetic outcomes that will create meaningful change for her patients. She believes in transforming smiles to transform lives.
Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Cho enjoys spending quality time with her family. She also loves music and finds joy in baking for family and friends.
